Tether launched USDT Stablecoin on the Tezos blockchain platform. This is the twelfth network on which the asset is available, project representatives told ForkLog.
“We are excited to launch USDT on Tezos, offering a growing and dynamic community access to the most liquid, stable and reliable stablecoin in the digital token market. Tezos is growing rapidly, we believe this integration will be essential to the long-term growth of the platform,” said CTO Paolo Ardoino.
In addition to Tezos, Tether’s stablecoin is available on Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Algorand, Tron, Omni, EOS, Liquid Network, Kusama and Bitcoin Cash’s Standard Ledger protocol.
The asset was also released on Polygon in May 2022.
According to the company, the market capitalization of USDT exceeds $72.5 billion. Most of the supply of the asset is in the blockchain Tron and Ethereum ($38.73 billion and $36.81 billion respectively).
